I’m sure you’ve heard that what you do on the first day of the year will set the pattern for the year to come.
Actually, you may not have heard it, and I may have made it up. I did try searching that phrase, but I couldn’t find a Google link, which seems to indicate that I just randomly decided that it is a thing. Whatever. It’s a good thing.
We’re all familiar with the hotel room clothesline, right? I do try to plan travels to places with available laundry facilities, but that’s just not always possible. And there is NO WAY I’m going to pay the cost of laundry at most hotels – especially since it would come down to a choice between hotel laundry or my children’s college educations.
So if my first day of 2016 is spent washing clothes in a hotel room, it means a year of travel is ahead for me, right? EXACTLY! Good news!
And in exciting news for 2016 travel laundry, I discovered this thing called “The Scrubba“. There’s no way around the fact that some stuff is going to be washed by hand, it’s the nature of the travel beast. But if this makes my washing easier and gets my clothes cleaner?
I’ve ordered one. I can’t wait to try it. Because my days of wishing for big-super-fancy-awesome Christmas gifts like a Lite Brite are OVER.
I have reached the age where I am excited about hand-washing-for-travel-clothes technology gets me as excited as Pumpkin Pecan Cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory.
I shall be sure to let you know how it goes.
